Today is the day! Today we host Jerry Craft, New York Times bestselling author and 2020 Newbery Medal award-winning author! Mr. Craft’s first novel, “New Kid’, was the first graphic novel in Newbery’s 100-year history to receive this award, and he is only the 5th African-American to land this coveted prize! In addition to the Newbery Medal, New Kid was also awarded the Coretta Scott King award for outstanding work by an African-American writer!
